Isabelino Gradín (1897-1944) was one of two Afro-Uruguayan men who played in the Uruguayan team that took home the winning trophy during the 1916 Campeonato Sudamericano de Fútbol—the first edition of the contest that would later become the Copa América. Gradín was the top scorer at the Campeonato, which began on July 2, 1916.
